What do the lights represent and what is the difference between each of them?

Here is some info about the lights on the MOVE from our master trainer Sylvie Patrick:
  • One light = 30Hz (30 vibrations per second) Low Amplitude (2 millimeter displacement 0.0787402 inches)
  • Two lights = 35Hz (35 vibrations per second) Low Amplitude (2 millimeter displacement 0.0787402 inches)
  • Three lights = 40Hz (40 vibrations per second) Low Amplitude (2 millimeter displacement 0.0787402 inches)
  • Four lights = 30Hz (30 vibrations per second) High Amplitude (4 millimeter displacement 0.15748 inches)
  • Five lights = 35Hz (35 vibrations per second) High Amplitude (4 millimeter displacement 0.15748 inches)
  • Six lights = 40Hz (40 vibrations per second) High Amplitude (4 millimeter displacement 0.15748 inches)
How to use the frequency and amplitude?
Stretch is usually done with setting on 1 to 3 lights. I like to do a quick test to reveal if your vibrations sensitivity.
Place your right foot on the Power Plate MOVE and select 30 seconds vibration with one light.
Once the vibrations stop, walk around your Power Plate and feel the difference between your left and right foot.
If there is no significant change between your left and right foot, perform the same test again with 2 lights and then 3 lights.  It is safe to stretch and workout between these range.
I increase the vibration to 4 or 5 lights when I am using the static straps for stretch and muscle activation standing on floor.
We are going to loose some vibrations along the straps and that is why I increase the amplitude by switching to 4 or 5.
Massage is done usually on 6 lights because I am using the circulation benefits of vibrations and have relaxed muscles in contact with the platform.
I massage my feet between 4 and 6 lights seating on a chair in front of the platform and remove my socks and shoes.
Here is a little video that recap the above information and show you how to test your sensitivity to vibrations.
